The Accountability You’ve Been Searching For…
The Hivery Accountability Honey Pods (or Honey Pods for short) are small groups of 3-5 Hivery members, designed to give you a small group of accountability and encouragement buddies for a whole quarter.
This pre-matched small group will be your resource, your mastermind, your advisory squad, and your cheerleaders, all wrapped into one. They are your go-to recurring accountability group that encourages you to take the actions that get you closer to your goals.
If you choose to participate in the Honey Pods*, you’ll sign up for the pod with a survey that we use to match you with compatible group members. We match you according to a number of factors including industry, time zone, preferred meeting frequency/format, and more.
*The Honey Pods program is completely optional! We think you’ll love it though.
Deadline: Members can sign up now for a honey pod.
Read more about the program below.
How It Works
Every three months you’ll have an opportunity to sign up for a new group. You can choose to stay with your pod or move on to the next one in the future. Or, you may decide to pause on the pods. All up to you.
When we create your pod, you’ll receive an email from us with all the details including a step-by-step guide for getting you set up for your success for your first accountability call.
The downloadable PDF guide provides tips on how to structure your meetings, how to determine frequency of meetings, and how to help each other stay on track. During your first meeting, discuss the best dates and times for the quarter’s meetings and craft a game plan on how you’ll commit to following up with each other in between meetings.
90-Days of Peer Support
We’re excited for you to experience the game-changing nature of accountability groups! It can mean the difference between feeling stuck and having the support you need to move forward. Enjoy leaning on the support of a Hivery Honey Pod, and if you need us, we’ll be right here to support you!
FAQs on Hivery Honey Pods:
How often should we meet? What format is the meeting?
The frequency and meeting format is up to your group. As an example, we recommend that your Honey Pod meets once per week for 30 minutes on Zoom and once per month for 60-90 minutes on Zoom (or in-person where possible!). You can optionally add a second 60-90 minute session each month for those who want it. Or, you can agree to meet at a Focus Session or Community Co-working session, too.
While there is flexibility on how you meet, you must commit to some sort of weekly check-in (such as ongoing email/text thread, Voxer voice memos, or short Zoom meeting) and ONE monthly meeting of 60-90 minutes.
What are Honey Pod Captain responsibilities?
If you’re a Honey Pod Captain, you’re responsible for sending out the meeting invite with Zoom details for all pod members’ calendars. You’ll also be responsible for kicking off the meeting with a great quote, a quick journal prompt, or an opening question. This is a great way to practice facilitation and leadership skills. If your team doesn’t have a captain, you’ll share responsibilities and each be captain or co-captain for a month.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule a meeting?
Please uphold our policy of Mindful Scheduling & Conscientious Cancellation. It’s imperative that you schedule every accountability call into your calendar and avoid changing or canceling your sessions less than 24 hours beforehand unless you absolutely have to. Remember that we all have responsibilities, obligations and busy lives, so make sure to respect this time with your pod members. Remember that you signed up for accountability, and you have mutually agreed to dedicate time and energy to each other’s progress!
What if my group doesn’t feel quite right? Or, what if people aren’t keeping their commitment?
If for some reason your group isn’t working out or members aren’t keeping commitments to each other, just let us know, and we’ll give you support to help you keep your pod vibrant and energetic, or we’ll add someone new if necessary.
Do I have to be a Hivery Member to join a Honey Pod?
Yes, this program is only available for active/current members of The Hivery. If you’re not a member yet, you can join here.
Community Reminders
Commitment
Honey Pods only work if everyone is committed to each other. Remember how bad it feels when someone flakes on you.
Attentive Energy
Show up to your accountability calls on time and with positive energy.
Constructive Feedback
Rather than trying to “solve” pod member challenges, offer support or share from your past experience. Constructive feedback never begins with the words, “You should…”
Honor Emotional Experiences
Remember that growth can trigger our emotions. Throughout the quarter together, one or all of you will feel stuck, victorious, inadequate, excited, or burned out (and maybe all at the same time). Support the process by lifting each other up and holding space for the truth of each member’s experience.
Active Listening
Be as good of a listener as you are a talker. Be democratic with the time so that everyone is heard. We recommend using a timer for each person’s update.
Clear Communication
If you decide not to continue working with your matched pod, make sure to let them and us know via email.
We’ll match you with your small group using the information you provide in your survey.
The Community You’ve Been Searching For…
You joined The Hivery because you knew you had more inside. More to offer. More to create. More to express. If you’re feeling your momentum waning, you just need a little more support. Join a Honey Pod. You’ve got this.
