How To Create A Vibrant Community (and Why Building Community Matters)

Community is everything right now. Our yearning for connection and belonging is stronger than ever before, and simultaneously our collective feeling of isolation is at an all-time high. You’ve likely experienced the power of community (The Hivery!) and you may be considering creating your own community to share your wisdom or grow your business.

But, how? Do engaged communities just happen? Or, what happens behind the scenes that make some communities feel so authentic, and others more like a transaction or gesture.

Grace has spent over seven years learning and perfecting the art of creating community. Through The Hivery, she has built small to large community groups that feel connected and authentic in both real-life settings and virtually.

Through her work, she has seen the power of creating a community ecosystem that can help, mentor, support, advocate, and even buy from each other.

Building a community that is engaged and aligned to values is a thoughtful and strategic process. It doesn’t just happen. Communities that last, trust each other and create genuine relationships based on their commitment to both the individuals that make up the community and the common threads of the broader collective.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • Fundamentals of creating a community that is authentic and engaged.

  • The vital attributes of an engaged community vs a “faux” community.

  • How rituals and traditions can be integrated into your community engagement plan.

  • How to gather feedback from existing customers, friends, or your network to learn what will make your community last.

  • How to make people feel seen, heard, and respected within your community.

  • Ways to integrate (and stay true!) to the values you lay out in your community.

  • How integrating these values creates an agreed-upon compass for understanding, and provides the foundation required for communities to have longevity, honest dialogue, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Who this is for:

  • Entrepreneurs, writers, artists, or thought leaders who are creating or growing their own communities to spread the power of their work.

  • Those who value collaboration and meaningful conversations and want to get their audience or network connected to each other.

  • Leaders who are committed to creating values-based businesses that incorporate human connection.

  • Curious souls who wonder if building a community is the right next step for their practice, business, book, or offering.
